ELMHURST-Republican DuPage County Board Candidate Jeff Redick has been endorsed in the November 7, 2006 General Election by the United Hellenic Voters of America.
The United Hellenic Voters of America is a non-partisan civic organization which was created to recommend and support candidates for elected office that share the organization’s principles and policy beliefs. The United Hellenic Voters of America is the “political arm” of the Greek-American Community. The organization works to promote candidates and issues that are important to the community.
After great consideration and review, Dr. Dimitrios Kyriazopoulos, National Supreme Chairman, and Nick Pappas, National President, announced the endorsement decision of the National Supreme Board and the Executive Board of the United Hellenic Voters of America. According to Dr. Kyriazopoulos, the United Hellenic Voters of America agreed with Redick’s policy positions and believe his leadership can be trusted to benefit the community.
“I am extremely honored to have received this endorsement,” said Redick. “It is very special to be recognized by such an exceptional organization.” Redick stated that “an endorsement from a civic organization such as this mean a lot because the group truly represents the voters, the very people that I want to represent on the county board.”
“I know that the United Hellenic Voters of America went to great efforts to review the candidates in this race, listen to our positions, review our qualifications and experience and then it made its decision.” Redick said, “I commend the United Hellenic Voters of America on its thorough evaluation process and am thankful for the confidence the organization has placed in me.”
In addition to the recognition that accompanies the endorsement of the United Hellenic Voters of America, the Greek-American community has pledged to actively support Redick in his campaign for DuPage County Board.
