ELMHURST-Jeff Redick, Republican candidate for DuPage County Board in District 2, received a vote of confidence from York Township Senior Advisory Board member Ray Urbans. The following letter appeared in the October 25, 2006 editions of the Elmhurst Press, Villa Park Argus and Lombard Spectator newspapers:

Redick deserves seat
on County Board

Based on what we see on the television and read in the newspapers, it is easy to paint with a wide brush and condemn all political candidates. However, there are good people running for office that will provide honorable, ethical service to the people they represent. One of those people is Jeff Redick. I am proud to support Jeff Redick for DuPage County Board in District 2. I encourage all your readers to join me and do the same.

I have had the honor and privilege to serve with Jeff Redick on the York Township Senior Advisory Board. Jeff has served as chairman with honor and distinction.

Jeff Redick has an excellent work ethic and commitment to principle. Those qualities which I have personally observed while working with him help explain why Jeff will be such an excellent representative for the good people of District 2.

Jeff Redick is a first time candidate for political office. He is committed to protecting DuPage County taxpayers and preserving a high quality of life for all our citizens.

I look forward to a day when Jeff Redick will be one of my representatives on the DuPage County Board.

Ray Urbans
Elmhurst

“I am humbled and honored to have someone I respect, like Ray, write such a wonderful letter in support of my campaign for DuPage County Board,” said Redick. “The fact that Ray and I have worked for so long to address issues facing senior citizens in our community, and that experience serves as the basis for his recommendation, really means a lot.”
